. Your cat is a part of your family and they deserve a comfortable, warm place to sleep. Purchasing the right bed for your cat can also benefit you by encouraging your cat to stay off furniture and other places you may not want them to be.

Once you have made the decision to buy one you next need to choose what works best for you and your cat. Cat beds come in many different types, shapes, colors and prices. You will want to think about your cat and their current sleeping habits before making your purchase. Another thing to consider is price. The price range of cat beds start at the very inexpensive, under $10, to over $100 depending on many factors including fabric, size, options, brand etc. The cheap beds are made of inexpensive materials and normally will not include a removable cover. This option may appeal to some but it would be well worth your money to purchase one a little more expensive that includes a removable, washable cover. It could end up saving you money in the long run by not having to purchase new beds multiple times a year.

There is a wide range of types out there to choose from. Most cats like to find places to hide. You could consider a hideaway bed. There are several types to choose from including tent styles, houses and huts. Cats also love to be warm and will often search for the warmest place to sleep. A heated bed could be a good option for you especially if you live in a colder climate. These often come with removable heating pads. When choosing this type of bed be sure to check the UL rating for safety reasons. Another option is a more expensive fancy bed. These can be designed to look more like mini sofas and such to match your decor. When choosing this type of cat bed you will want to look for one that comes with or has removable slip covers available for easy cleaning.

As all cat owners know, your kitty will spend the majority of their time sleeping. Choose a soft, comfortable cat bed for him or her to sleep on and your kitty will thank you!
