Most people in the game knows that instance leveling is one of the fastest ways to level to 85. But there are a lot of people that simply doesn't know how to do it. This is why you need a strategy for your World of Warcraft instance leveling, you need it to get the most out of every single run, and a dungeon leveling guide is quite helpful if you don't have one already, these will mostly come together with an ingame leveling addon, but let's focus on instance leveling for now.

Developing Your Instance Strategies

The absolute best way of leveling through instances is to have a thought out strategy for it, how it works, which ones to do, when to do them and which quests to complete. Instance leveling might sound simple, well, the truth is that it is simple, but if you're looking to take it up a notch and increase the leveling speed, then you will probably find it a bit more challenging. Because of the Dungeon Finder tool, instance leveling is faster than ever. This will allow you to simply choose your role (damage, healer, tank), choose the dungeon(or random) and just wait for a window in the middle of your screen to pop up once you get 5 people wanting to do the same thing. The great thing about this is that it isn't server bound, which means you can team up with a complete stranger, this has increased the waiting times significantly.

There will be quite a different gameplay depending on which kind of class you are. The Queue for damage dealers will be longer than for the tanks and the healers. So when you are waiting for that window to pop up, I would suggest that you do some solo questing or just grinding some mobs because you will spend quite some time in the queue (depending on server) waiting. Healers and tanks will be in high demand so their queues will be close to instant, so if you are playing a class that got a healing talent tree, you should start putting your talents there if you are planning on doing a lot of instances.

The Instance Quests

This is the single most important thing about instance leveling (except doing instances, of course). These quests may sometimes give you as much XP as the whole run would give you. Some are hard but most of them are quite easy, kill X amount of mobs, take Y cubes from the ground and give them to Npc Z. Remember that every single instance in world of warcraft have quests that can be done simply by just running the dungeon.
