Alrighty I'm going to tell you some of the most important key factors with this new expansion to make your lvling life easier. I'll explain events that have happened, the two new races of Worgan and Goblins, the new lvl cap, Azeroth being revamped, new zones, guild advancements, PVP battlegrounds, new professions, and the very best feature being Flight in Azeroth.

So what has happened to cause the "Cataclysm"? Well, a dragon named Death Wing has returned to Azeroth from Deepholm with revenge in mind. He's destroyed and reshaped both the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor forever. The whole face of Azeroth has changed in his wake.

There's two new playable races with Cataclysm. First off we have the Worgan, which are werewolf like characters that have decided to side with the Alliance. The Goblins have decided to join forced with the Horde. They're just like the little Booty Bay guys. Both of these new playable races have starter zones taking them from lvl 1 to 15. The worgen will start in Gilneas behind the Greymane Wall. Goblins will start on the Isle of Kezan and continue on to the Lost Isles before they reach the mainland.

The level cap has been raised to 85. I've personally been playing Cataclym and lvling pretty darn fast. It's actually easier than all the other expansions were. The lvling process goes pretty quick and the quests aren't nearly as dull. Cataclysm lvling from 80-85 shouldn't take more than a few days, especially if you use the lvling guide I have been using. I'll tell you more about that at the end of this article.

All of Azeroth has changed. The zones have changed shape and there's tons of new content. Darkshore has a ton of new quests added, the Barrens have been split in half with one half being for low lvl players and the other half for higher lvl players. Azshara is the new starter zone for the Goblins and other Horde which connects directly to Orgrimmar. There are new sections of Blackwing Spire, Blackwing Lair, and Heroic versions of Shadowfang Keep and Deadmines. The new zones are Uldum, The Sunken City of Vashj'ir, Deepholm, Mount Hyjal, and the Twilight Highlands.

There's been tons of PVP content added. There is a new battleground called Battle for Gilneas City. Blizzard have also introduced rated battlegrounds which let players earn Arena points throught both Arena and battleground gameplay. There is a new Wintergrasp kind of zone called Tol Barad Island. There are new PVP objectives and goals here. Tol Barad Island will also feature a daily quest zone like the Isle of Quel'danas in The Burning Crusade when PVP battles aren't underway.

There is a new profession called Archaeology. This skill will allow players to basically dig for artifacts and collect them. There's some really nice items to be found doing this.

Now, to the best point of the entire expansion. Flying mounts in all of Azeroth! Azeroth has been redesigned to allow flight by players. It costs 200 gold to buy your flight liscense and is well worth it. I think this is another reason why Cataclysm lvling goes so quickly.
