Making gold as a low level in World of Warcraft can be fairly easy if you know what you are doing, and of course if you choose the right professions. Mining is what most people refer to as the beginner professions, in other words, the profession you choose when you want to make gold as a new World of Warcraft player. Selling ores on the Auction House is one of the most profitable things you can do as a new player, this will get you a nice amount of gold mostly because of the Cataclysm expansion which means that people will need low level ores to level up their blacksmith and engineering for their new Worgen or Goblin character.

My first tip to you is a rather easy one and if you are not currently using it then you are missing out. Get the Gatherer addon from curse, this addon will show you where you have picked up all the ores and therefore give you a nice overview of where the ores tend to spawn so you won't have to waste time looking for ores at deserted areas.

So where do I find the trainers?

The common trainers can be found at these locations

-- Breaks Tonehoof (Thunder Bluff)

-- Brom Killian (The Undercity)

--Krunn (Durotar)

--Makaru (Orgrimmar)

These are the best areas to find ores at your current mining level:

If you are just starting out, then you will only be able to mine Copper ore, these can be found in either Durotar (the Horde starting area) or The Barrens for when your combat level is at around 12-20.

Once you hit mining level 50 then you will be able to mine Tin Ore, these are located in The Barrens, mostly in the southern parts. You will also be able to find these in all the low level dungeons like Ragefire Chasm and Wailing Caverns. Tin ore can also be found at some parts in The Stonetalon Mountains but this is quite rare. Thousand Needles is a goldmine for tin ore if you are at a combat level that's above level 25.

Gold and Iron ore can be found around the Alterac Mountains zone. But you can also mine them at Desolace and Stranglethorn Vale. Arathi Highlands and the Badlands is quite empty of iron but there's a lot of gold that can be mined there.

Then we have Mithril and Truesilver ore, the Mithril is currently selling for loads on every server of the game so I highly recommend that you mine these. Mithril ores can be found at the Thousand Needles at the Highperch area. It can also be found in the Badlands near the Lethlor Ravine.
