With their being so many cars on the road today there are bound to be some accidents

. With so little space on the road and in my opinion not enough proper driving training, accidents will happen. One of the more deadly types of accidents are 18 wheeler truck accidents. When one of these massive trucks hits a car or whatever else it may be, it does some serious damage. If you're from the Midwest and Texas you hear a lot about these types of accidents and they very rarely end well. 18 wheeler truck drivers go through training and usually know what they are doing behind the wheel but there are still reasons for accidents. Here are some of the most common reason for 18 wheeler truck accidents.

One of the main causes for accidents and injuries is handling a load that is to big. For these drivers how much they load is how they make money. The more they can load onto their truck, the more money they can make. At times truck drivers add to much to their load and this causes them problems on the road because now it is harder to keep control of their semi truck because of the increase in weight. Truck drivers need to make sure that they don't add to much weight or they will get into accidents. Another cause for truck accidents is the driver not getting enough sleep. These drivers usually go long distance and try to get it done in the shortest amount of time as possible. When this happens they usually don't get enough sleep and this causes their reaction times to decrease. Some drivers fall asleep at the wheel and end up hitting a telephone pole or possibly another car. Truck drivers need to make sure that they get enough sleep so they are able to pay attention to the road and stay awake. A third common cause is the truck not having proper maintenance. This can be anything from not replacing worn out brakes or not having the proper tires needed. When a truck is not running in tip top shape there will be problems. One major one is when these trucks are going down hills and there brakes don't work. It is basically like a freight train going full speed with no way to stop. Truck drivers need to make sure they don't care of their trucks and make sure everything is working properly.

18 wheeler truck accidents can be deadly and that is why these truck drivers need to be as safe as possible so they don't injure themselves or others.
