With the exact CBSE date Sheet in place, students now have a complete idea on the time available for final preparations, and days available in between the exam schedule for revising each subject .They can also now estimate the time and the effort required to organize and complete their studies.
While estimating the effort required and deciding on the preparation technique for the final examinations, you can keep in mind the following steps that will help you make the entire learning activity more organized and less haphazard.
Step I:- On a paper first list down all the topics that are remaining to be revised in all the subjects. Once through with this activity, write the estimated time required against each topic to be covered.
Step II:- The next step is to prioritize amongst the topics identified in the above step. The prioritization process should be done keeping in mind three basic criteria the weightage attached to each topic in terms of marks allotted, your understanding of the subject in general and the estimated time that will be required to complete each topic.
Step III:- Once through with prioritizing, start the revision process. Read through the topic once and make brief notes. You may need to memorize the important points so that you have the overall structure in place. Supplement memorizing of new topics with the revision of the already covered topics. This will help break monotony and will also strengthen your conceptual understanding of important topics. While revising, do not forget to try your hand at model test papers. Testing your knowledge through model / sample papers will help you prepare better for the exams and will also boost your confidence in the process. You can also seek help from various websites that provide CBSE aligned model tests and practice tests to help students assess their understanding of the topic individually and the subject in general.
Step IV:- Use the time available in-between the exams dates in the CBSE date sheet prudently. In order to avoid confusion and end minute chaos, stick to the existing plan and do not try to learn by rote newer topics during this period. Just concentrate on your revision activity. You can also refer to readymade revision notes made available online by various websites. These revision notes provide a brief overview of the chapters and are well supported by illustrations for better understanding.
Now that you have your CBSE date sheet in place and are equipped with smart tips on how to utilize the available time, formulate a detailed plan for yourself and accordingly prepare for the CBSE board exams.
