When ever anything new comes to market people are keen to know what is different in that product
. Similarly Windows made sure it was offerings something new to its users. With the failure of Windows Vista; which ever was the reason. The Windows trademark had to pull out something more genuine and new. With the launch of Windows 7, Windows ensured the security and stability of its system by introducing a very controlled unit of driver enforcement in Windows 7. If you are using any unverified version of the driver than your OS is at a risk and it wont function properly. If the latest Windows 7 is what you want to test; not being sure of the drivers compatibility then here is a little that you need to know. All the drivers of Windows Vista works fine most of the time and so will be the result when you install the Windows 7. Windows have made the new system compatible with almost all the drivers.
Make sure you have downloaded the latest driver set for Windows Vista, matching your system configurations. After the downloading of the drivers start the installation part. Just follow the simple prompts that will come your way. If there are any error messages then make sure you cancel the installation and then right click on the install-file.exe and then select the Troubleshoot Compatibility.
This will get you into a Program Compatibility wizard; more easy to use than in any previous Windows versions. The wizard generates a common issues list and you are bound to select the issue that is related to your issue; if not completely then partially. Until you select some option it wont let you to the next step. Thus if there is nothing closest to your issue simply select the option saying the software was functional in the previous version of Windows and now you are unable to install it. This will let you click the next button. Then you should select Windows Vista as previous OS with which the driver worked. After the complete set of options you will be displayed with the new settings for that software. This also means that your are ready to test the new configurations. In most of the cases the Windows enable the new software to work perfectly fine using the driver pack from Windows Vista. But in some cases problems might occur.
This wont be a bad choice to install Windows 7 and if the required drivers are not compatible then go for the Vista drivers, which is already an option in Windows 7. But make sure you are using the verified versions or else your Windows functionality will suffer.
