CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Personnel):

CCNP is another Professional level IT certification offered by CISCO, in order to get CCNP certification it is essential to acquire CCNA certification as CCNA is a prerequisite of CCNP. One who acquires CCNP certification is capable of doing the task of CCNA certified personnel at a broader level, as they will be capable of handling networks with more than 100 nodes, maintaining, implementing, planning and troubleshooting both LAN and WAN enterprise networks infrastructure. Network administrators and technicians both benefit most from CCNP certification.

CCNP curriculum involves following courses:

CCNP TSHOOT: Study of maintaining and troubleshooting IP Networks.


CCNP SWITCH: Study of implementing IP switching

CCNP ROUTE: Study of implementing IP routing

To get CCNP awarded one must complete all the three exams, one for each of the courses listed above
