Ccna Training:google Eyes Mouse Movement As Possible Search Signal
Process:
Process:
There are various ways how a search is modulated to give the most relevant results. In most of the cases the user pointer is monitored by its movement within a specified region. When the pointer leaves that area the server than looks for the most relevant results within the specified field of the searched query using the pointer"s hover time. When the server is about the deliver the new search results the server then sorts the informational links with the most relevant first to the least relevant at last. The server also has the task of determining whether or not the searched result is relevant to the searched query. The server is the main decided but it decides with the previous searches and their most visited links related to those searches.
Bill Slawski, working at SEO explains that the patent makes a few assumptions about how a mouse pointer"s movement could be read. For example, the longer the mouse stays over a searched result the more relevant it is to the user and the searched query. And also that if the pointer scrolls through each line, it shows that the results are gaining attention of the reader rather than if the pointer stays at a certain result without any movement. These findings are really unique and only a SEO related person can make these judgments. Thus the movement of the pointer within the results page shows how the user is interested in the results provided to him. The sponsored links and ads also depict a trend. If the user clicks on one ad and ignores the other one this shows that the browsed ad is more attractive and important then the ignored advertisement. If the website shows a map or an explanation or other results and the user stays on that other result for some time then this shows that the user found the other link as more informative and helpful. Thus the server keeps a record assuring that next time when someone searched with the same key words it knows what to display them with.
The Google applied for the patent in 2005 and now after almost 5 years no one can predict whether or not Google will use it. Things and way the people thinks have changed in these five years. Although Google has been granted to use this patent but who know if Google has something else in their thinking tanks.
