This easy access to cell phone service, coupled with many companies offering plans that do not charge for using the towers of other companies has revolutionized the cell phone and made staying in touch even easier.

Perhaps one of the best improvements to the cellular phone, however, is the addition of a GPS tracking chip. This makes it easy for emergency personnel to find you in the event of an emergency. These simple chips have helped save many people who have been in accidents or gotten stranded. The chips also allow parents to keep track of their child's location.

Simply put, the cellular phone has come a long way. There are many more features than ever before, and the phones are more convenient. With so much technology in such a tiny device, they are quickly becoming a necessity for most people.
