The admin tool can now integrate database privileges and user credentials to simplify user creation and management for the admin. Furthermore, management rights for BES web reports, which have received major visual revamps to match the BigFix website, are also integrated. These web reports can be further customized to achieve a unique look and feel, and these reports have features that allow users to filter only the computers that they need to see.

Because of popular demand, this version of BlackBerry Enterprise Server software no longer requires Microsoft's Internet Information Services. It can now be installed along with the BigFix Root Server, readily built in with BES Relay technology. However, installation with IIS is still possible. The whole installation procedure is also simplified, requiring fewer clicks and shorter installation times.

Another new feature of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.1 is its improved console performance. This means users can now have an easier time navigating through the program's different features. Client inspectors can also look at more computer properties, allowing much greater Fixlet capabilities.
