Characteristics You Will Need In Your Visor Warning Lights For Effectiveness
There has been plenty of improvement in emergency vehicle lighting and this is not
just as far as full featured light bars mounted on the roofs of vehicles are concerned. Now you can get low profile, slim but highly effective visor and dash lights which are inexpensive costing under $200 in most cases, but offering a lot of value along with energy efficiency and durability. Irrespective of whether you need bright and unmistakable warning light or whether you need lights that can easily be concealed and are undetectable in unmarked vehicles, these visor lights are readily useful. However, for the visor warning lights to be effective, there are certain features that should definitely be present in them.
One of the most important features required in visor warning lights is the ability to generate high intensity, focused beams. For this reason, visor LED strobe lights are used which use linear super bright LED modules, comprising of an array of 1 watt LEDs. These offer highly unidirectional light with great penetrative effect. What enhances the effectiveness of this light further is the use of outer and inner lenses and optic domes which increase the off axis visibility of these lights. The use of lenses and reflectors is an intelligent way of maximizing the lighting output of the vehicles. Moreover, the design is such that slide in lenses, clear and replaceable, can be used for maximum effect.
The brightness and visibility of the visor warning lights can further be enhanced through a range of built in flash patterns. A lot of modern visor lights come with multiple flash patterns and a very user friendly interface or pattern selection switch which can help in scanning for the right pattern and then locking it. Moreover, the programmable visor light fixtures with self contained electronics also have non-volatile memory so that information about the last used flash pattern can be retrieved. Whether you want slow or rapid flashing at a rate in excess of 100 flashes per minute, you can manage it in the advanced visor lights. Similarly, you can go for steady or random flash and alternating or sequential flash. These flash patterns become even more effective when you have dual colored LED modules in red and blue or blue and amber pairs. Even colored filters with clear LEDs can be used for more versatility.
Effective visor warning lights also need to have plenty of mounting options. This is why they come with a mounting hardware kit that includes, clamps, swivel brackets with adjustable height and standard suction cups, slide bolts and screws and Velcro straps. With so many mounting options, the lights can be mounted behind the rear view mirror, on any windshield surface, flat or curved or on the dash. There is a 10 foot power cord usually present with the lighting kit to ensure that wherever you may mount the visor lights, you can still easily operate them and use the cigarette lighter plug to turn on or turn off the lights.
