Scholarships for Redheads - All one has to be is a natural redhead and create a smart, creative essay or art piece about what it is like to be the proud owner of a crimson mane. Every year they award the winning effort with $250, which can cover textbooks or some fees. Apparently this group has a fellowship program in the works.

Duct Tape - There's an old saw that goes - if you can't fix it, duct it. Well, with an additional $3,000 you can duct--err...fix - a lot of tuition problems. The Duck Brand duct tape company, the sponsors of this grant, only make one request; whatever you do with the duct tape, you have to wear it to your high school prom. Last year's winners (there were two) didn't look too unhappy with their financial win. If you are interested in this, then you should do some more research about distance learning degree program.

Scholarships for Height - What's interesting here is there are multiple organizations out there who will hand out grants to people who are either extremely tall or short. They include the Tall Club International, the Billy Barty Foundation and Little People of America. They can range from a flat $250 to $1,000 a year.

Bowling for Grant Money - Usually when one thinks of athletic scholarships, the first thing that comes to mind are the big sports like football. Actually, you can wind up with anywhere from $2,000 to full tuition if you happen to be superlative in such sports as bowling, skateboarding, even marbles. Don't knock it, unless you mean to knock an aggie out of the circle.

A Heart-Felt Scholarship - Organ donors can get something more than a good feeling. An organization known as Students for Organ Donations will contribute $500 to $1,000 a year to undergraduates who not only take out an organ donor card, but also will assist them in their promotional and recruitment programs. Think about it, you can save a life and help your own at the same time.
