The interface has alot of tricks up its sleeve where social networking is involved; a dedicated TimeScape section streams together all of yours and your friends social network activity from sites like Facebook and Twitter. There is also a MediaScape version which incorporates the phones image gallery, videos, music and games sections for quicker access. The Xperia X10 has an 8GB microSD as standard but this can be expanded to anything up to 16GB microSD cards for optimized storage space, great for large collections of videos and music.

The phone is loaded with Google Maps, YouTube, e-mail compatibility with Gmail and IM from GoogleTalk. Navigation wise the phone also relies on its WisePilot app for turn-by-turn, but without the in-built GPS receiver these features would be useless.
A handy 3G network connection provides fast download speeds while the Wi Fi connection is great if you're within range of a wireless hotspot. The WebKit browser supports multi-touch pan and zoom controls, bookmarks and it uses a Google Search engine.
The 8.1MP camera is ideal for capturing those special moments in high res stills and quality video; it comes with zoom, flash, AF, geo-tagging, face recognition, smile detection and a whole load of other tools to enrich your photographic experience, and what's more everything you capture can be shared online.
