On either side of the canal lie hovels, built of mud bricks, which set this long canal off beautifully. The artist tried to reduce complexity into simplicity. Scattered hovels with black tiles and white walls form rhythmically horizontal, vertical and oblique lines, which present aesthetic feeling of lines. There are two trees beside the boat. One of them lost all leaves, leaving only branches bare, which shows romantic scene of late autumn. However, there are several red leaves on the other tree. Arc-shaped branches add a sense of motion to the whole scene. Combining soft lines with dark color brings viewers impressive visual effect. Furthermore, it touches people's heart, refreshes people's mind and enchant people in tranquility.
