CherryPad Price and Specs - An Android Tablet
The CherryPad 7-inch tablet runs Android 2. 1, sports a 7-inch resistive touchscreen display and Wi-Fi and prices just $188. The CherryPad is neither an iPad killer nor an iPad duplicate, it's a totally different product suitable for some other market. You don't get a camera or video output, or Flash. If you're enthusiastic about taking pictures with your tablet or video chatting, you're better off with devices like the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
The CherryPad comes down a bit where Cherrypal decided to cut sides from a cost view. The device needs another 256MB of MEMORY (for 512MB total) including a high quality touch screen (perhaps a 1GHz CPU? ) and that would have very likely forced its value to the $250 mark or higher perhaps. Still, for better overall experience and usability, and heck, toss in a web cam while we're at it, we'd offer that most might gladly spend the upcharge.

CherryPal will be the first to admit that the CherryPad is a low-end gadget. I mean, buying a fully-functional Android system below $200 is a task, although numbers of such gadgets are beginning to enlarge. But when just a few more money could easily get you a Archos 70, I wonder whether reducing the price that far produces much more in the way of worth.
The device needs a further 256MB of MEMORY (for 512MB total) and a higher quality touch screen (perhaps a 1GHz CPU? ) and that would have likely pushed its price to the $250 mark or higher perhaps. Still, CherryPad, for improved overall experience and usability, the most would gladly pay the upcharge.
