Chicago Certified Toyota Dealer Says Sales Are Up 50% Half Way Through March
Despite the recent recall on several Toyota models
, loyal owners and curious new customers have responded to the companys incentives, like the zero percent financing, to help increase Toyotas sales by 50 percent in March.
Chicago certified Toyota dealers are excited about the opportunity to win new customers and hope to keep the showrooms full for some time to come. Other incentives which may keep traffic flowing to Toyota dealers include free maintenance for two years and subsidized leases.
Dealers are even optimistic that Chicago 2010 Prius customers will continue to buy this favored green car even though it has been at the center of the recall issues. The company has assured the public that extensive safety checks have been performed and the problems have been resolved with this green movement icon.
Another reason Toyota dealers are smiling is that the sales gains for March may help neutralize their dismal numbers at the beginning of the year as the recall hit full force. Whether or not this is an indication that Toyota is digging its way out of the recall pit of despair will take some time to determine. Indications from Toyota customers who were surveyed have found that more than half consider themselves to still be loyal to Toyota.
Perhaps a better indication is a perusal of blogs, tweets and general internet postings from Toyota owners. Of the ones I have viewed (and my information-gathering techniques are far from scientific or statistically correct), I would have to say that four out of five seem pleased with their Toyota models and do not plan to buy from another maker in the near future.
Toyota has certainly pulled out all the stops to attract customers, but so have some other auto makers. Several others are offering the same zero percent financing, for as long as five years, and it may come down to brand loyalty all around. Toyota may be able to retain its current customers, but winning over new ones may not be so easy.
However, customers shopping at Chicago certified Toyota dealers will certainly find themselves on the red carpet and receiving the royal treatment. The best advice for new car shoppers: Explore all the options, not just on each model but with each maker, financing opportunity and warranty. Ask all the questions you can think to ask and then take a few days to weigh all the choices. This is a buyers market and as buyers, though we should always beware, we should not be afraid to insist on what we want.
Chicago 2010 Prius dealers as well as other Toyota models, like the best-selling Camry, will likely be very accommodating to customers and work hard to find the perfect vehicle match. The important thing for customers to realize is that the headlines, negative or positive, dont reflect their personal needs when it comes to buying a car and they need to investigate for themselves.
