On the other hand if it is only from time to time or intermittently you should talk to your doctor about diabetes testing.

The primary symptoms and signs of the onset of Type 1 are nausea, vomiting and dehydration. These typically take place when the body halts the production of insulin or the potassium levels get out of whack. Type 1 diabetes is also called juvenile onset diabetes and is caused by genetics and heredity and not usually by controllable factors. A pediatrician will most likely do some trial testing anyways, just to cross out the possibility of the illness.
