The church of Girolamini (or Gerolomini) is a basilica church in Naples.It is among the largest religious buildings Neapolitan (its dimensions are comparable to those of the Cathedral) and furthermore, its interior has a high concentration of works of art, sculpture and architecture since worked on several occasions, various artists extraction Tuscan Emilia and Rome. The upper part of facade is relieved by a rectangular window surmounted by a triangular pediment, over which stands a crown consisting of a broken arched pediment, the center of which stands a septum decorated with the image of motherhood, surmounted by a further arched pediment. In the niches of the prospectus of the statues are placed by Cosimo Fanzago started and completed by Giuseppe Sammartino; other statues, by the same sculptor, are placed on the portal.
