Even when Chihuahua puppies grow to adulthood, owners find it easy to continue pampering these little dogs and enjoying treating them like little babies. This is easy to do because Chihuahuas are so tiny and begging to be held, cuddled and protected. Even when left to their own devices, these little dogs prove to be intelligent and self-assured. Chihuahua puppies will not grow very large, which makes them a great addition to any sized home or small apartment. Chihuahua height varies widely, ranging from between 6 and ten inches and weigh just a few pounds. They also come in a variety of interesting colors, shapes and hair lengths. Due to their small size, they are particularly fragile and owners need to make sure that the household environment is safe for their new companions. It is not recommended that Chihuahua puppies or adult dogs be around small children, as these tiny creatures are very delicate.

Many people are happy to know that the Chihuahua does not need too much grooming. Occasional brushing and regular visits to the veterinarian will keep Chihuahuas in the best shape. Since these dogs are so tiny, care should be taken to keep them from extreme temperatures and safe from dangers like heavy objects and larger animals. Do not hesitate to bring home some wonderful Chihuahua puppies, as they are a loving breed that lives to shower their owners with affection and enjoyable lasting companionship.
