Everyone knows that picking the right domain name for your website is important for SEO purposes. To be on top in Google depends on several algorithms that Google is using to determine which websites should be on top and which ones should not.

For a long time know I have been working on getting a website high in Google for a certain keyword phrase. The domain name includes the exact phrase, but with one word extra before that phrase. This domain has huge backlinks but it has been a real struggle to get it good positioned in Google.

I bought a domain name with the exact keyword, no more no less. Within a months time now, this website is on top in Google as well, in no time it reach the first page in Google with only few and not very high PR backlinks.

As a matter of fact I can call myself a specialist to bring websites to the top of Google, but I am really amazed between the difference in effort it has been for the two websites to reach the top. I always thought that the extra word in the domain name had little meaning as far as it being a brilliant name to reach the top.

Having the exact phrase as a domain name though seems to me now to make it at least 5 times stronger as being a good pick for SEO. The ones between you that knew this already might laugh about this article, but I guess it can help some other people out that are kind of new to Google optimization.

Buy two domains, one with your business name and one with your best keywords. Install your website on the domain with the keywords, so the websites has good chances to reach the top of Google quickly. The domain with your business name should be forwarded to the domain where the website is at. This way you?ll have a professional looking business card and and excellent SEO for your site at the same time.
