France's region of Brittany is a favourite destination for UK tourists and retirees

. It's rather easy to get to after all, being just a short ferry ride across the sea and it's a great place to buy property, so investors often choose this location for their second home so that they are easily able to get away from the sometimes difficult British life.

Brittany is well known for its cuisine, its cider making, its rugged territory and beautiful scenery. Take your time when you start to look for property for sale in Brittany. There always seems to be quite a selection, so it stands to reason that you should never be too keen to make a snap judgment. Of course, as we all know it's possible to fall in love with a specific property, and this is why it's always a good idea to have that seven day "cooling off" period as well!

As Brittany is so close, in geographical terms, to the UK, you can always pop aboard the ferry or jump on the Eurostar and be back in England in no time, to catch up with those relatives and "long-lost" friends!
