Choosing Fathers Day Gift Baskets Themes

Unique fathers day gifts are hard to find and although you see a million TV commercials

, thousands of print ads and hundreds of flashing banners suggesting something to give your dad on fathers day, very few of them actually have anything unique to offer you. Youve probably seen those ads telling you to buy dad golf balls with his name on them or t-shirts with your baby picture on it but the fact is that all youre getting dad is a set of golf balls or a T-shirt (which happens to be an extremely cheap option). He buys this stuff for himself so there isnt much of a gift factor. Unlike the gifts you get mom where you buy jewelry and flowers and treat her to a special dinner; dad gets blown off with everyday use stuff that you have customized for a few dollars.

This gift giving pattern isnt all your fault though, there arent very many options out there, and anything half way decent is extremely difficult to find which is why fathers day gift baskets have become a popular option. There are still a lot of people who think that gift baskets are a gift thats meant to be given to women (by women) but theyre bound to convert and its not because of the beer themed gift baskets. Gift baskets are now available in all sorts of different themes especially for men so the choice and variety is expanding giving you better options.

Not all kinds of baskets are a good idea though, the wine, beer or anything related to alcohol isnt appropriate but something like fruit baskets or fruit bouquets are always a good option. Fruit baskets do fall short of a real gift, theyre more suitable for house warming gifts but fruit bouquets fit the occasion. Theyre available in sports themed containers and that makes them perfect for dad, the containers range from golf ball, basket ball and even race car shapes so theres a lot to choose from.

The gift basket themes that you should avoid are the soap, beer, cookie and candy ones.
