There is an ongoing debate over which is better perfume or cologne and primarily

the real answer to the question will lie down each individual and their personal choices. However, alongside cologne being cheaper and therefore more affordable than some bottles of perfume, there are a few more advantages to be had from cologne and therefore disadvantages for perfume.

Generally you will find that your average bottle of perfume can be as much as twice the price of the bottle of cologne and you may also find that this will be for a much smaller bottle. With the credit crunch looming and all of us looking to tighten our purse strings, cologne may be the better option to make ourselves smell better.

Occasionally you may find that perfume is a rather overpowering scent that is very strong when first applied and also takes a little while to die down to a nice, pleasant and lingering smell. This is especially the case for those that wish to reapply their perfume at stages throughout the day in public areas such as rest rooms, on public transport and suchlike. People around you may not appreciate this, especially if the perfume is a strong one and is also likely to have you receiving some nasty glares from those that get a whiff of your scent.

The best quality of perfumes is generally used in a roller ball type applicator or applies with a kind of dipstick. Because of the high scent to base liquid ration, a spray bottle is not conveniently used to apply the scent and therefore the bottle itself and also applying the scent can be somewhat awkward and difficult to control how much you are putting on.

Although perfume is a luxury that a lot of men and women wear, sometimes it pays to go for a cheaper and more affordable option for more reasons than just your bank balance.
