After all, for all you know, the customer complaining may just naturally be grouchy or have been having a bad day or just been stressed by the whole packing up and finishing up everything on the house before the moving date. Or maybe the mover accidentally stepped on the cats tail. Whatever the reason, one or two complaints arent reasons to go running to other moving companies.

You need to look for something moderately priced and that tells you the cost of packaging, transport, and other expenses that go along with hiring moving companies. Its better to pay a little more than potentially losing your money and belongings to scam artists. Also beware of those asking for a deposit before moving your items. This is another example of a scam attempt. You also shouldnt be asked to pay in cash. This leaves you record-less. A good company should also send a representative to get an idea of what youre sending. He or she need to know about any breakables as well.

Insurance

Moving companies should offer insurance. Some even include it in the overall price but if they dont, you need to inquire about it. The insurance should cover breakage, damage, and the loss of belongings. If it doesnt, that would be your cue to look elsewhere if you want your things to make it safely to your destination. Without insurance, no one is liable for the breakage.

Keeping this in mind, also remember that you may need to hire additional hands. Try to use those from the company. Although there is nothing wrong with hiring people you know personally, they arent liable if something breaks.
