Life can be complicated sometimes. We live in a world where first impression can have a profound impact on someone's judgment. This is why it is critical to dress appropriately for certain occasions. Dressing nicely can mean different things to different people. When you dress up it means to dress nicer than you normally would. This could include a nice polo shirt or a pair of slacks. If you are out on the town with your friends it is okay to dress casually, but if you are going anywhere with a more formal setting I would think twice before wearing your chains and putting your hair in a Mohawk.
We have come to a point in the world that who you know is more important than what you know. Your image represents who you are and what you stand for. It's come to the point where it is a battle just to find a job flipping hamburgers. Do everything in your power to impress those around. Clothing and Apparel can come in all different shapes, sizes and colors. Mens apparel can be just as flashy and loud as Womens Apparel. It doesn't matter if you wear Gucci or Magnum. As long as you dress nice and present yourself well. When I say dress nice I am referring to clean clothes, hole free, stain free and possibly a tucked in shirt. People notice these things and yes, they will judge you. The actual brand of clothes you wear is irrelevant. Employers like to see someone that will represent their company well. Don't be afraid to speak up and show some pride, without being arrogant of course.
If you learn to dress up for the right occasions, to carry yourself as if you've already been a CEO and to use your brain and think, you will be able to find a job anywhere you go. All you have to do is ask questions and show that you are willing to learn.
