Living in the wonderful city of Newport South Wales you are presented with a massive arrear of Newport gyms. Choosing the right one for you is solely dependant on your needs and times you want to go to the gym.
When I first looked at gyms in Newport I found Celtic Manor Hotel gym was very expensive and quite restrictive (as if there was a big event on at the hotel you struggled to gain access) I then looked at the Hilton Hotel Newport, again though this was a nice little "fun" gym this was not somewhere where you could concentrate on weighloss through gym work. I dragged myself to the Newport City Leisure gym at the velodrome in Newport and was instantly scared by the grunting muscles pummelling the training back and spinning.
Having walked around JJB Sports gym, now known as DW Sports fitness what an oppressive place no windows or natural light as you spend your hour or so training! I decided to try Bannatyne's gym in Newport old dock, the opening times appealed, the facilities good, but it was still lacking something. I was then recommended to contact a Personal Trainer who recomended Fitness First.
Initially I was very sceptical as this wasn't something I had heard about before. When I met with a Personal Trainer at Fitness First I realised I had found what I was looking for somewhere where I could slowly develop my fitness whilst also have help rehabilitating my back.
If you are looking to loss weight through the gym, or training in a gym in Newport then I 100% recommend Cardiff Fitness First.
