Chuck Iceman Liddell Opens Own Store

Not long ago, Chuck Iceman Liddell opened up his own MMA shop to his west coast fans.

It's no coincidence that Ultimate Iceman is located in San Luis Obispo, CA; also known as the hometown of Chuck Liddell. It's a first for any UFC fighter, taking advantage of his own notoriety to open a retail shop and signals the marketability of stars like the 40-year-old former college wrestler.

"Ultimate Iceman" caters to mixed martial arts enthusiasts. The MMA shop will sell Liddell's personal brand of supplements called Ultimate Iceman Supplements. These supplements are made by Shocker Nutrition in San Luis Obispo at a facility overseen by Liddell. He worked with chemists on every step of their production and taste tested the final results. Assorted MMA apparel such as shorts, t-shirts, pants by Tap Out will be available for purchase.

The shop is decorated in Chuck Liddell MMA memorabilia, and various awards Iceman Liddell has been honored with over the years.

Tons of autographed items grace the shop walls of Ultimate Iceman. Among the awards displayed will be the Most Dangerous Man accolade he won from Spike TV at the Guys Choice Awards in 2007.

Don't walk into Ultimate Iceman expecting to see Chuck Liddell that often. Due to a heavy schedule of public appearances, training, and other obligations Liddell will only be able to make limited stops by his MMA shop. He was on hand at the Grand Opening to sign autographs and meet with fans.

Liddell's entry into the business side of MMA indicates that he's well aware of the rapidly growing popularity of the sport, something that extends beyond simply pay-per-view events. MMA, like mainstream sports, now has its own very passionate fan base.
