. It involves the activity of getting the movie on celluloid film. In the early days of movies there was no sound in motion pictures. Therefore, the concentration was focused entirely on the picture. As such, it was the director who operated the camera also. But with the development of technology, adding sounds to movies became possible.

Technology has made movies more intricate to make than they ever were before. For example, nowadays cinematographers use artificial lighting. They do not have to adapt to the sunshine outside because they could utilize their own lighting. However, at this point, it took more than a single person to make a movie. People were needed to film the movies, write, and direct them. It takes a large amount of people each doing their job in order to be able to film a movie.

As time went on, the film that was used to record the movies got better and better. After awhile, cinematographers did not have to worry about having to film movies in poor lighting because the artificial lighting as well as the quality of the film that was used had improved.

Of course, as the quality of the films improved, so did the effects that the cinematographers were able to use. These special effects were used on both color and black and white films, even though most of the movies that you see nowadays are in color.

There were different lenses for the cameras that were invented in order to provide the cinematographers with even more options that they could use as special effects in movies. For example, the wide-angle lens was one of the latest developments in the world of film and movies.

Cinematographers were able to alter the lenses that they used, and this allowed them to be able to produce a number of different effects that you are able to see in movies nowadays. With these lenses, they are able to adjust the depth of the focus, and this makes it much easier for directors to be able to have you focus your eyes on the items that they want you to see while you are watching the movie.

In the beginning, cinematography involved only being able to record movies on film. Even though this is still used a lot of the time, cinematographers are able to record movies digitally. This means that there are even more options that are available because they can alter the movies digitally.
