Claims Pages On The Truth About The Proposed 2009 Healthcare Bill
Contrary to the stubborn and blind protests made by Republicans
, Claims Pages believe that there was a lot to benefit from the 2009 healthcare bill proposed by Democrat leaders in one of its House meetings. After the meetings conclusion, Minnesota Representative Michele Bachmann did not hesitate to air her disapproval on national TV via Fox News Channel, highlighting the conditions in Page 92 of the bill. According to Bachmann, Page 92 was more or less a personal right violation because it was prohibiting an individual from purchasing private health insurance after a specific date comes to pass. Democrat supporters as well as a good number of neutral analysts strongly protested this assertion, with some even mightily offended and disgusted at the way Bachmann appeared to be deliberately misrepresenting the truth about 2009s healthcare proposal.
To better illustrate what the healthcare bill is about, Claims Pages sought the advice of experts on insurance policies. As one expert explains, the 2009 bill was simply meant to require private health insurance companies to sell their products through the government. The government would then ensure that all insurance policies sold met the new standards they have set with the bill. This includes providing minimum coverage for pregnant individuals as well as those with pre-existing medical conditions.
No personal right is violated, says
Claims Pages. In fact, the government goes out of its way in giving individuals more options to consider, thanks to new laws requiring minimum coverage for conditions that private insurance companies used to avoid touching even with a 10-foot pole. Moreover, insured individuals are also given the option to maintain their old or existing policies if it is what they want and even when the new law takes effect. Last but not the least; the proposed bill does the opposite of preventing people from purchasing insurance. Rather, it is requiring that everyone be somewhat protected and extend that same kind of protection to others if they are held liable for any damaging incident by having their own insurance policy. Others may protest that such a demand is another violation of personal right but that is not so when one considers how having everyone insured is better for public safety.
