Like a volcano eruption Egyptians suddenly started an agitation which was not only strange but kind of funny for no one thought they'll want the president out when most people especially me thought he has being meeting their needs as a citizen. This is because this man has been in power for three decades but only for one day the news carries it that at Tahir square in Cairo Egyptians are calling for the ouster of the president.

This wouldn't have interested me if not for the fact that they didn't go about it violently which most people would've anticipated but doggedly as a body of people who know what they want and are ready to do what it takes peacefully to get it. Thus I can't help but wish all Africans in their various nations can one day demand a change in their lives and the life of their country with so fierce a determination then one our governments will sit up and realise that change has come. But before I begin to soar away in wishful thinking, this piece of mine is especially for my Nigerian brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers.

I call on all Nigerians in the diaspora and within to use what is going on in Egypt as an eye-opener to the fact that change is possible in the change is now. The Egyptians have not only shown resilience in their agitation but a sense of knowing what they want. And it's this that I want all Nigerians should pick-up and use as a source of inspiration and motivation to make that change in their mind set and the society around them.

We should not be bothered that though it may have taken twenty to some thirty years for the Egyptians to up rise but that they've up risen no matter the years of docility. Same should we apply in Nigerian political society of today. We've allowed the hard works of all those who lost either their lives or peace of mind in fighting for a better Nigeria go to waste for so long but now is the time for us to stand up from our crippled state and effect that change. And how can we achieve this, is by not selling your conscience in your vote will not count. It's by we using all legitimate means that we've got to defend our votes after it has been casted and most importantly it's for us to come out en-mass to vote for whoever we feel, believe or are convinced can do the job not minding the person's political, religious and ethnic affiliations.
