Classic Car News: Too Hot To Handle

Many of the amazing cars that are zooming onto our motorways are being described

as smoking - but some of these stunning cars are actually going up in smoke. WorldCarFans.com have reported that the supercar gods continue to be angry at the super rich, as more and more high-priced exotic cars go up in flames. Last year a 2005 Lamborghini Gallardo burst into flames in the UK, with fire-fighters claiming it was due to the Gallardos carbon fibre and alloy construction.

Its not just the UK that witnesses such devastating sights; a Ferrari 360 Medina was reported to have gone up in flames on a highway in California - lets just hope they had good insurance cover. Automakers are turning out a new breed of supremely fast sports cars that sell for around 200,000 and share many characteristics of purebred race cars, according to msn.com. The problem with the large number of people who own these super cars is that they often end up in the hands of inexperienced drivers, ending up wrapped around trees, involved in accidents or worse going up in flames.

Perhaps motorists need to start considering whether these vehicles are in fact too hot to handle? When you buy a Ferrari you dont expect to end up with a hot rod, but that is just what is happening to many unfortunate motorists who find themselves looking on in disbelief as their pride and joy bursts into flames right in front of their eyes.

Previous reports have revealed that the total number of accidents involving Aston Martins, Bentleys, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Lotuses and Maseratis has risen over the years, and in some cases have seen these amazing cars obliterated to nothing.

If you dont want to throw your money down the drain, or more fittingly peel it off the tarmac, make sure you know how to handle such hot property. It isnt just supercars that go up in flames though - recent reports show that the cheapest car in the world, the Nano, has also suffered bad press recently with four brand new cars catching fire in India alone.

The saying goes, if you cant take the heat, get out the kitchen, and the same can be said for many modern and classic cars hitting the highways, that are clearly too hot to handle (for some people).
