F1 clothing doesnt have to be seasonal. In addition to the team shirts, which obviously bear the sponsors, badges and design of a particular racing year, fans can get their hands on some more classic items polo shirts designed to reflect the colours and badges of the classic manufacturers and teams; caps bearing their badges; even jackets and sweatshirts.

Ferrari, one of the most famed marques in the world, has put together a wonderful range of F1 clothing, inspired by the legendary scarlet colours and prancing horse emblem weve seen on victory podium after victory podium, year after year.

There are two basic strands in the Ferrari F1 clothing styles those with classic look, understated badges and logos; and those with a more modern take on the prancing horse badge.

In the modern line, Ferrari has released a range of classy t shirts featuring the scudetto large on the chest either as a mid-sized badge in a red t shirt, or as a large sized badge on a classic black background. And a smart Fernando Alonso cap with a large central scudetto on the front can complete the look.

For fans who prefer their F1 clothing a little more understated, Ferrari has designed a selection of polo shirts and tees with the scudetto represented on the left chest. A classic Ferrari red polo shirt, complete with trim on sleeve ends and collar, heads the pack; with a neat black version (untrimmed) coming in a close second. Normal tee shirts also feature the small scudetto against a scarlet background or a black background; and for the fan who likes a little patterning on his or her clothing, theres also the white striped Ferrari polo shirt, again featuring the small scudetto on the left chest.

Ferrari, of course, is not the only popular team to have released a timeless range of F1 clothing. McLaren Mercedes, for example, has introduced a soft shell jacket to its range; and a team sweatshirt, with relevant badging and sponsors. Theres also a very natty waterproof team jacket which, while specific to the 2012 team and season, is timeless in design and quality.

The waterproof McLaren Mercedes jacket is a smart silver, with water resistant neoprene cuffs for looks and comfort. The jacket features the badges and appropriate sponsor logos, on chest and back, and has a built in hood to protect against downpours. Ideal as a fashion jacket, a driving jacket and of course to watch live on race day.

The jacket is suitable for both men and women. McLaren Mercedes, like many of the F1 clothing manufacturers, have also come out with some specific womens only products, including ladies team t shirts. Among which some are cut with deep v necks, while the others have more traditional ladies t-shirt cut, and are made from honeycomb mesh for breathability.
