Public university located in Morrow, Georgia in United States, Clayton State University has enrollment of around 6,785 students and is part of Georgia's university system. Brief Background Founded in 1969, the university was originally named as Clayton Junior College. It received the senior college status in 1986 with the introduction of the four year courses. It was given university status in 1996 by Georgia Board of Regents. In the year 2005 the institute finally had the name of Clayton State University. Presently the university offers 8 masters degree programs as well as 40 baccalaureate degrees. It also opened its first housing campus for students in 2008. Campus Features Main campus of the university is located covering 163 acres of wooded area.
