Clean-up Time With Aprons

Kids will always be kids

Kids will always be kids. Their lives depend on playtime and the thing is, most often than not, they forget to clean after they mess up the room. You will see the walls painted with red and yellow, and worse, you see the same dirt on her clothes.

If you are a parent to one, your frustration level must have already reached the skies after constantly reminding your child to clean the mess. To combat these nuances, always talk to your little one and instill the concept of cleanliness at an early age. Use simple words only and ensure that she understands what you are saying about germs and how bacteria can make her ill.

At toddler age, kids touch anything they get their hands on, and worse, wipe their soiled hands on their clothes. Introduce the use of aprons to your little kid. Not only will she enjoy how an apron changes the look of her dress, it will also keep her clean while she plays with her toys or draws and paints with her hands. Get her the colorful aprons that are usually embellished with buttons and ribbons. Better yet, let her choose the design that she prefers.

Since aprons come in different styles, let her choose from bib-style aprons to funny ones, from plain aprons to smocks. Get her a couple of cheap aprons in different styles and colors and during playtime, let her choose the apron she wants for that day. Smocks would look great on her especially if she is wearing it on top of a plain dress or her t-shirt and jeans.

If she has other siblings, enforce cleanup time until they get into the routine. Turn clean-up time into a contest. Whoever cleans up their mess the fastest wins a prize. This way, your kids will always look forward to cleaning up after their mess. Soon, after each playtime, you will not have to tell them to cleanup anymore, as it will become second nature to them already.
