The CG Gold is an all-ability iron perfect for the player who wants to maximize forgiveness while still maintaining a solid feel in a traditional head design.

Gelback Technology provides a soft feel even on mis-hits while Micro-Cavity Technology (MCT) improves the center of gravity for stability and control.

TheCG Gold has a Gelback cavity which gives each club a vibration-tuned firmness for optimal feedback. It is 10% softer to provide extra forgiveness on mis-hits. Additionally, the gold Gelback insert has a 30% larger surface area touching the back of the face to absorb unwanted vibrations for a smooth, solid feel at impact.

Progressive offset makes it easier to square the face at impact. A slightly thicker topline inspires confidence at address.

A sling hosel design as well as a longer blade length provides an 11% larger face than the BG Red. This translates into a larger sweet spot for more forgiveness.

I went out on a whim one day after reading some reviews and purchased these clubs brand new for only $325 (3-PW). Before I bought these, I played with a used set of Ping Zing 2's (black dot), and they were alright for a while, but I found that the sole of the club was far too big and was causing me problems on the hard ground on some of my local courses. These golf clubs (the clevelands) are amazing, it feels so sweet when you make crisp contact. I've been hitting the ball straighter ever since I purchased them. Also, I've had far fewer miss-hits [fat and thin shots]. the best thing is that I slowed my swing down because they came with regular flex shafts, and I still hit the ball farther than I did with the Pings. However, with the technological advances, that is kind of comparing apples to oranges. The bottom line is these clubs are great; they are workable (fade, draw, or just hit it sraight), they are nice looking, and they are now a lot cheaper since the newer ones have come out. Buy these golf clubs or the newer ones [the newer ones come with a great deal (if you buy them before 12/31/09, you can trade them in when Cleveland golf releases the next model, and you get that set free no strings attatched!)

I've bought the Cleveland golf CG gold Irons which replaces the CG7. Set is 3-9PW. These irons are fantastic, I really love them. They feel gear when hitting the ball and the forgiveness factor is great. I can work the ball with draws and punch shots.

I tried other irons before eg Taylormade Burner and R7, King Cobra SZ and Yonex VMX. The CG golf was miles better than any. The feel and forgiveness. At address the club inpires confidence.
