. While the southern India is being slashed by exotic monsoon rain, the northern will be covered in thick snow. Therefore, the perfect time to travel in India depends greatly on the places to be vacationed and the weather at that time there.

Grounded on temperature and rain fall, the Indian Meteorological Service has classified India's weather into an incredible seven different regions.

Indian climate is broadly divided into three distinct seasons - winter, summer and the monsoon. Typically, the perfect time to visit India is during the winter season, when the environment in most places is relatively cool and enjoyable.

Summers: The summer's first land up in the end of February and starting of March, in the northern plain regions first then in rest of the country. During most of the times the temperature reaches 40 degree Celsius in summers. During the summers in India is restless. The days in summers are sunny, hot and dry. In end of the May month, the monsoon starts approaching with high humidity and thunderstorms.

Monsoon: The Indian monsoon is relatively divided in to two monsoons sets namely, southwest monsoon and northeast monsoon. The Southwest monsoon starts from the sea and makes its way up to west zone. By July's mid, the whole India get covered with rainfall which gradually gets cleared in northwest by October. In November and December India's east coast is highly affected by monsoon. The Indian states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala are the most affected states with rainfall from Northeastern monsoon.

Winters: The sunny sky is the marks of the disappearance of the monsoon. Initially day time in winters is comfortable while nights get chilly quite often. In south India in the states like Mumbai, Bangalore or Karnataka winters are the best time for tourists. It never gets cold in south while the winters show up its exoticness in Northern regions of India.

Destinations to visit in India during winters are the beaches. It's the best time to flock the parties at beaches. Southern India is best place to enjoy in winters. December to February is the perfect months to visit the Mumbai and Goa beaches and Bangalore is the perfect place for the party lovers. The rest of the time there is either irritatingly hot and moist or wet. Obviously, it down pours for an unbelievable nine months of the year in Kerala! It's also a wise time to journey to the Rajasthan during the winter.
