Many people think that clone Android phones, especially China cell phones would boast in popularity in 2011. But in my opinion, counterfeit Android cell phone development is not so optimistic in this year.

1. Feature phone is still very hot in the market.

Although clone cell phone market in China Mainland steers their focus on brand mobile, manufacturers of counterfeit phones still make big money because of huge demand in other countries. It seems that Android lacks motivation of development.

2. 3G cell phones lack Key Application.

Although carriers try their best to promote video phones, video application, and others, till now, there is no core application which could draw customers' attention in 3G network. The popularity of 3G needs time, especially clone phones.

3. The cost to pay for carrier is high.

Although we could get an Android smart phonewithin 1,000 RMB, high flow fee per month block the popularity of Android mobile phones.

4. The low end phones are immature while high end have no share in the market.

We admit that Android cell phones are hot, but the majority is produced by brand manufacturers. It's hard for clone Android phone to launch into high end market, because:

l Consumers need to pay a lot on their use.

l WiFi is not so popular in Mainland, China.

5. Low end Android phone project is not mature.

In order to explore low end consumer market maximally in 2011, many cell phone manufactures include MTK, HK, etc. laid down their smart phone solution based on ARM 9 and ARM 11. So these phones bring bad user experience because of their poor functionality and slow responding speed. A5 should be the lowest configuration if low end smart cell phone manufacturers want to improve user experience about their phones.

6. Android has poor living environment.

Clone cell phone manufacturers could establish and maintain APP store, but it's hard for them to offer high quality services as it needs project providers provide more perfect services.

7. Android upgrades too fast.

Clone cell phone manufacturers like to copy others product. Android upgrading is so quick that blocks present popularization.

8. Retail market still doesn't form certain scale.

It's too risky for cell phone manufacturers to launch into market massively before the retail market has certain scale.
