When you have a doggy friend you like to take care of it properly

. It needs a warm place to sleep, good quality food, plenty of exercise and a strong collar to clip that lead to when you are out walking. When people see dogs with good dog collars they know they are not a strays but belong to people who care for them.

Dog collars can be practical such as for attaching leads to when walking your dog and for identification, but they can also just be for fun. You can have several different collars for your special pal just for fun or to colour-coordinate with your own outfits. But many dogs need more than just a collar.

Short-haired breeds tend to get cold outside in the winter weather, especially if they spend most of their days inside a warm apartment. Being indoors, their coats do not develop that thick under layer that keeps an outdoor dog warm in winter. Dog Coats and dog jackets will be needed to keep indoor dogs warm.

Without them, your dog may well become prone to doggy colds and flu or other such maladies. Even if it does not actually get sick, it will be less than comfortable and happy having to go outside into the cold just as you would be if you went outside into the cold without an extra coat.

Wearing a coat often gives a dog a feeling of importance. When you put that coat on your beloved pooch it knows that it is loved and protected. You will need several coats so that there will be still a choice when one is in the wash. Besides, when you have several they can be of different weights and types to suit the weather.

When you go out on a bitterly cold day you might like to use a furry dog coat or dog jackets on your little pooch to keep it warm. But on a day that is just a little bit cold that would be too hot; a medium weight jacket would be more appropriate and comfortable for your pet.
