College Co-Eds-How Safe Are You On Campus?

Recently here in Colorado Springs, co-eds at Colorado College were being victimized by a local homeless man with robbery, assault and rapes over a two week period on and near the campus grounds. Eventually he was caught. In the two weeks he was roaming loose women on campus were literally afraid to go out of their rooms. They were terrified of becoming a victim.

That scene is replicated far too often on campuses across the country. Local bad guys see a college campus as fertile ground for these types of assaults. How safe are you on campus? Do you walk around campus in fear? How is your personal safety and security on campus?

Their purpose is to disable an assailant providing you with time to get away from a dangerous situation to get help or just get away.

They provide a non lethal alternative to the deadly force of a handgun.

Stun guns and pepper sprays are on average 90% effective tasers are nearly 100% effective at disabling an assailant. They do so in vastly different ways.

Pepper sprays disable an assailant for up to 45 minutes by causing extreme pain, excessive tearing, coughing, choking and shortness of breath. Stun guns disable an assailant for up to 10 minutes with a 3 to 5 second application of the gun to the assailant using an electrical charge that causes the body to over work very rapidly depleting it of all blood sugars.

Don't be a victim. Be pro-active and walk with confidence, not in fear. When are you getting a self defense product?

If you think crime can only happen to the other guy you are wrong. The "other guy" is thinking the same thing and to him you are that "other guy". There is a reason why they call it self defense. You have to protect yourself, your family, your home and business!!

Chances are if you are reading this that crime has touched your life in some way or you consider yourself at risk. Take the next step and do something to protect yourself! Your life and safety is worth far more than the cost of self defense course.

If you are in the market for a self defense product look for quality, effectiveness, and a biggie-LEGALITY. Stun guns are not legal in some states. Pepper sprays have restrictions in some jurisdictions. Check with your local police department first before you get one.
