It happens. You're driving down the road, distracted by the day's tasks, when all of a sudden you see someone on the side! You could have hit them and the truth is that it could have been avoided; they should have been wearing a work vest.

All roadside workers should be highly visible. With so many types of reflective vests available today, there is no reason why they wouldn't be. These vests aren't difficult to wear and are usually completely lightweight. A smart hunter would never enter the woods without reflective vests and no smart worker should enter their work territory without them either.

Construction workers fall into the exact same category. They work in many dull and difficult conditions, and sometimes the only thing keeping their coworkers from covering them with a pile of work debris is their construction vest. These are brightly colored do that they stick out in most every atmosphere, meaning that they make the wearer visible to all those around them.

Every efficient and safe work environment uses proper attire and gear. For those that require maximum visibility, a work vest is an absolute must. The truth is that reflective vests save lives. They are simple common sense and should be worn at all times during working hours. Surely you wouldn't walk into a construction zone without a hard hat right? The vests are every bit as important!

For everyone that needs to be seen during their job time, wear a work vest for your own safety. And if you work in, near, or around any type of construction site, wear a construction vest to ensure maximum safety! Businesses require and even furnish these safety vests. So why there are still deaths and injuries every year simply due to the fact that they weren't being worn is ridiculous.

Even if you are required to buy your own for some reason, they are not expensive. Some of them run as low as $3.00! With a number like that there is no reason on earth for anyone in the business to not have one. These can easily be fit into any budget out there and considering the consequences of not owing a construction vest on a construction site, I think $3.00 is not asking to much!

Be smart, be safe, and wear required and useful gear. It saves lives.
