Holi begins with people playing wildly with vibrant color powders known as gulal or abir. Alternatively, colored water is also sprayed on family and friends as a part of this boisterous celebration. When playing with colors, most people opt for white clothes be it men, women or kids. White clothes on Holi have become a major Holi trend over the years. However, during the evenings when all the fun and madness ceases, it is a popular practice to visit friends and relatives to exchange warm wishes and Holi Gifts. Since Holi is the festival of colors, it's quite obvious that people want to bask in the spirit of the festival and thus bring out their most colorful outfits for the Holi evenings. Women choose bright and colorful Sarees in warm and vivid shades of yellow, orange, red, rust, etc. Rather than heavily embellished gorgeous Sarees, moderately embellished Designer Sarees in light fabrics such as georgette, chiffon, net, etc prove to be ideal for Holi evenings. Enjoying Holi shouldn't just be limited to playing with colors or applying colors on others, it should be celebrated by also wearing vivid shades to look bright and beautiful!
