Pros: For starters, the Comet CM-C12CD has a high-quality motor that is very powerful. In fact, it can shred up to 7.5 feet of paper per minute. It also has an 8.7 inch opening that can accept 12 sheets of paper at once. That is better than the Aurora AS890C which can only take eight sheets of paper at once. This reduces your workload. It has an automatic start and stop feature so you don't have to stand over the machine while it is working. The Comet shredder has durable cross cut blades made from high-quality steel. The blades can not only cut through paper, but also credit cards, CD/DVDs and staples. Also, like the Royal Machines 112MX, the Comet has a designated area for CD/DVDs so that you know they are getting shredded properly. The cross cut blades will protect you by shredding the documents into strips that are 1/5 inch wide and 1 inches long. Talk about protection. The machine also comes with a manual reverse so that you can get rid of any paper jams and has an overheat alert to keep you safe.
