Although the costumes from the rental shops are much more ornate and complex in most cases, there are wonderfully creative ideas that can be done at home to make a cheap Halloween costume that all of the friends will envy. Ideas to Try One idea for a cheap Halloween costume requires the use of a large cardboard box. Using this box, the individual needs to cut a space for his upper body to go through as well as arm holes and a square out of the front of it. The front of the box where the square has been removed will serve as a TV screen where the individual's face will show through, allowing him to be the funny TV show of the moment. The front of the box should be decorated with the dials and buttons of a regular TV and a remote can also be made out of a smaller box or construction paper so that the individual can change stations on himself, allowing him to be goofy one minute and sad the next, mimicking different TV shows. The rest of his body should be dressed in black so that it does not take away from the attention given to the TV. Another simple idea just requires the buying of a bunch of purple balloons and also some purple leggings and turtleneck. With this idea, the individual can become a bunch of grapes. The person's shirt can be stuffed with pillows if the person wants to be a larger bunch of grapes but this should be done before adding the balloons to it. Safety pins will also be needed to attach the balloons to the shirt and pants. This cheap Halloween costume will need the help of another individual since it is very difficult to cover the body in balloons by yourself. In addition, there are a lot of balloons to blow up, so it is nice to have help with that as well. Once the balloons are inflated, then the individual should don the purple outfit and placing the balloons can begin, safety pinning each one to the clothing by the mouth of the balloon in this cheap Halloween costume.
