Coming home to prosperity
Coming home to prosperity
Coming home to prosperity
There is no need to beg in prayer.
Chapter 3 of Isaiah shows some of the reversals found with the women who had forsaken the good ways.
16 The Lord continues,
"The women in Zion are very proud.
They walk along with their noses in the air.
They tease men with their eyes.
They walk with quick, short steps.
Little chains jingle on their ankles.
17 So I will put sores on the heads of Zion's women.
And I will remove the hair from their heads."
18 At that time the Lord will take away the beautiful things they wear. He will take away their decorations, headbands and moon-shaped necklaces.19 He'll take away their earrings, bracelets and veils.20 He'll remove their headdresses, ankle chains and belts. He'll take away their perfume bottles and charms.21 He'll remove the rings they wear on their fingers and in their noses.22 He'll take away their fine robes and their capes and coats. He'll take away their purses23 and mirrors. And he'll take away their linen clothes, turbans and shawls.
Chapter 4 of Isaiah continues:
1 1 In that day seven women
will take hold of one man
and say, "We will eat our own food
and provide our own clothes;
only let us be called by your name.
Take away our disgrace!
The depiction of things here shows or symbolizes that an arrangement of things had gone bad or turned sour for these women.
The contrast to this is showing that on the positive side prosperity in many terms and situations represents an array or arrangement of things going well and getting back to prosperity is getting back to an array of things that are involved with it
There was an unraveling of an array of things, that had represented many points of prosperity for these women.
Chapter 2 of Isaiah gives a chronology of of their offenses. Traits exhibited in their behavior were indifference and self absorption and eventually plundering the poor.
Isaiah 3 verse 14 says,
14 The LORD enters into judgment
against the elders and leaders of his people:
"It is you who have ruined my vineyard;
the plunder from the poor is in your houses.
Normally the Lord did not want these women begging for men or anyone else or anything else.
And this is not to say that the example of these verses are pointed to women in particular as men could have been equally or more complicit in what had happened, and whether the women were the original instigators or just going along are two possible scenarios in the overall example of waywardness shown here.
They had been amply supplied.
The Lord was displeased with everybody including the women who were apparently standing on the sidelines or inattentive to the rampaging evils or rampart evils of the day in terms of not doing anything to help avert it and at the same time being overly concerned with items of luxury, which had been a benefit of the Lord in the first plac
They evolved and developed standoffishness, to important matters in the spiritual realms and were not paying attention to the Lord and his ways
But the lesson here is for both men and women in that era and in other eras that there will be troubles in society, but there will be people doing quite good irregardless and it might be dangerous spiritually to section off and take this for granted
Then a weakened spiritual state can result in outer manifestations of having long standing benefits withdrawn.
But if and when these women turned their attention back to the Lord and his ways, it would not be as beggars.
The Prodigal Son or the Prodigal Daughter is the same.
In the story of the Prodigal Son, he figured he would turn back and beg for mercy.
But he went right back to fully supply, full status on his welcoming as not coming back as the beggar, but the wayward son coming home.
The wasn't a gradation in coming back of begging a lot, then begging a little bit less and then eventually get back to an equilibrium where the situation was non beggarly.
The desert winds may be swirling, but that doesn't mean the call back to prayer is a call to anything less the full coming home, no matter how far from home your now rather dire circumstances have you.
The full waves of his blessings of then strike and stride ashore for you again.
His supply ran out and he was just about reduced to begging in his own dealings,
Yet once he came back, he didn't come back as a beggar, even though his direct circumstance had been beggarly.
In psalm 37 verse it says from the NIV version of the Bible:
I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.
If these women turned around, and prayed and paid attention to the Lord,
They would also be restored in all probability to the formerly prosperous ways or other arrangements of prosperity.
They were off the prosperity wave but they could get back on another array of waves that would represent prosperity again for them.
The way back was to simply come back.
A lesson here is not to beg in prayer, because your outer circumstances are beggarly.
The Lord wants you back, as a praying person, not as a beggar. The direct order is to come back first and foremost, of your own volition
David was observing that the righteous in his time, were being taken care of by the Lord, his observation was such that their prayer style had no need to go to a beggarly stance.
Their trail, had included a long trail of continuously answered prayers,
See Isaiah 58 verse 11 which says from the New King James version of the Bible:
11 The LORD will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought,
And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail
From day one onward, those special springs come forward to meet the brethren and the faithful. Yet the reference to the drought is reference to conditions that might be considered beggarly. The Lord forms his graces and prosperity right there, and the absence of what was needed at first is no obstacle to these graces coming through.
But David did see them and discern them as righteous,
Getting right and staying right with the Lord can be found by the wayward sons and daughters who come home.
The healed spiritual state is welcoming back to the peace, and the feast and prosperity of prayer.
The appearance, sighting, ensemble and array or arrangement of true lasting prosperity is of the Lord.
Solomon had experienced an outlandish, exaggerated prosperity that was arranged by the Lord and was of the glory of the Lord.
There is a connection between prosperity and the glory of the Lord so if you want that combination call upon the glory of the Lord in the context of seeking findable prosperous paths.
People seek prosperity but there are so many aspects and variables that might lay a given layout of prosperity that unless the Lord is behind the arrangements it is not going to unfold as such.
Mathew 6. 28 and 29 says from the New King James version of the Bible:
28 "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;29and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Indeed prosperity involves coming home to the presence and glory of the Lord in all its blooming array..
