When people think of property insurance they usually don't go beyond home insurance and car insurance

. Those are the two types of property insurance that the average American will deal the most with throughout his life. This is just barely scratching the surface of property insurance, however. There is more to what a New York insurance broker can provide you than these, as well. Following is a list of just a few types of insurance that your local broker will also deal with:

Commercial Business Insurance. This concerns a wide area, but all of it deals with a business that you may own. This policy is an umbrella one that is tailored for each and every business, making them completely unique. You will need business property insurance if you own an office or a factory. If you sell products to the world you will want New York liability insurance to protect yourself from any suits involving defects or poor service. If you have employees, you may need to provide them with health and dental coverage of some sort. And if there are any company vehicles you will have to have them insured.

New York Boat Insurance. Whether you own a jet ski, a yacht, or a fishing boat, you will need to have it insured in order to use it on any navigable waters in New York state.
