Commit Your Way To The Lord - Part 1
Committing your way to the Lord simply means entrusting your life, family, job and possessions to Him and knowing fully well that HE will not disappoint you. Trust God completely to help you and He will definitely do this; and you will be amazed.
The Psalmist says in Psalm 37:4-6, "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun."
When you delight yourself in the Lord, you experience great pleasure and joy in His presence. But you must first know the Lord before you can delight in Him. Knowledge of His great unconditional love for you will indeed give you delight. And when you commit your way to the Lord, you can trust Him and believe that He can care for you better than you can for yourself.
I encourage you to take time for reflection and this will allow you to focus your attention upon God's goodness. It will also help to strengthen your trust in the Lord. A lot of us are busy holding on to something of little worth that we cannot accept what God offers. We need to let go and allow God to have His way in all that we do.
We also need to give up trying to handle life by ourselves and put it into God's Hands and allow Him to work. No problem is too small or too big for the Lord to handle. So, I encourage you to let go, give everything to God and watch what happens. Ask Him for directions in every area of your life. Your love and passion for God should inspire you to commit your way to HIM completely.
It is frequently difficult to find the necessary trust and we would like to see something first, so as to believe. We must simply rest in the Lord, believe and be fully assured that He is in perfect control. When we plan everything in detail in advance, fearing the uncertainty, this shows a lack of trust in the Lord.
But we can honour the Lord by taking reasonable precautions, without any anxiety and then leaving everything to HIM. Then He will provide all that is necessary and lead us as He sees fit. This applies particularly to things we cannot deal with. Once you have done what you can do, commit what you cannot do to the Lord.
PRAYER OF SALVATION
If you have not already committed your life to Jesus and you would like to do so now, please pray this prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I am sorry for all the things I have done wrong. Thank you for dying for me on the cross, to set me free from my sins. I ask you to come into my life as my personal Lord and Saviour, and fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen."
Congratulations, if you have prayed this prayer. Please look for a Bible-believing church, to fellowship with the brethren. Please do not hesitate to contact me, if I can be of any assistance to you. Remain blessed and enjoy the presence of the Lord.
