Common Myths customers have about printing - 1

Today in my article I will try to put to rest few of the common myth about printing in general and offset printing in particular.

Many times we come across certain question however silly they may seem but have a frequent raising among almost every other cusomer.

1. What is this 1,2,3,4 Color Printing?.

Although few people have remote idea about 4 Color Printing stands for CMYK i.e. C-Cyan, M-Magneta, Y- Yellow and K-Key, but most of the people relate 2 color printing to any 2 colors like red, pink, purple, etc and their logic remain 2 color means any 2 color when infact 2 color printing job means any color formed after taking two cominations of any two colors among CMYK i.e if we take say Cyan and Magnets then -

Cyan - 1% to 100%

Magneta - 1% to 100%

Now adays there is 5,6 color printing machines as well where extra color is used for special colors like gold, silver etc.

2. What is this 4+0 Color Printing?

4+0 Color Printing means one side is designed in 4 color with no design at the back sidee.

3. A3 Size is smaller than A4, which is again smaller than A5?

Many people think that A3 size is smaller than A4, we at Mumbai Printers have many overseas clients from abroad like UK, Germany, France etc and even they are many times oignorant of this.

A3 Size is double of A4, which is again double of A5 and so on .....

Highest paper size is A0.

4. 300 GSM A4 Size paper weight 300 grams?

Many people at the time of calculating the weight of their printing goods take 300 GSM Paper of A4 Size as 300 grams in weight when in fact it is:-

GSM - Grams per square meter i.e. a 300 GSM paper means that a 1m x 1m sheet of 300 GSM will weigh 300 grams and A4 Size is just 8.27 inches x 11.69 inches and there are approx 40 inches in a meter.
