Content Formatting: A very important factor which is neglected all the time. Even big web design companies dont really care about this. See, when you visit a website, if you are unable to read the content either because of extremely small font size or terrible font color or weird background, then how much time will you spend there? Again, less than 5 seconds. So, it is crucial that you try out different styles and sizes and see which one looks perfect.

Background Music: This is something that can annoy your visitors easily. People come to your website to read and your background music will only distract them especially if your website only offers quality information. But, still, even if you sell products, you shouldnt distract your visitors with background music. Let them read the benefits of your products and then take action accordingly.

Pop-up Ads: This is something that can easily ruin the credibility of your website. If you want to look professional, then you must avoid pop-up ads on your website.
