The Omron HEM-650 is an ideal monitor for seniors because of its large display and its ability to be used on either wrist. Additionally, this model does not require one to roll up their sleeves or undress, providing quicker and more hassle-free readings. Its small size also allows for packing away in a suitcase, a downside with larger arm monitors.

This monitor is not without its downsides, however. It has been noted that readings can sometimes be difficult to obtain because of improper arm positioning. I have found that with a little practice, finding the correct position can be mastered quickly. It is clear that the benefits far outweigh the negatives of the Omron Hem-650. At first, the retail price of the monitor may seem a little high, but with something as important as a blood pressure monitor you do not want to buy a cheap unit. Because as we know cheap usually equates to low quality. I would highly encourage those on the fence about buying an at home monitor to consider this unit which stands up to Omron's legacy of quality health-care products.
